1. О чем они расспрашивают друг друга?
2. О великой вести,
3. относительно которой они расходятся во мнениях.
4. Но нет, они узнают!
5. Еще раз нет, они узнают!
6. Разве Мы не сделали землю ложем,
7. а горы — колышками?
8. Мы сотворили вас парами,
9. и сделали ваш сон отдыхом,
10. и сделали ночь покрывалом,
11. и сделали день жалованием,
12. и воздвигли над вами семь твердынь,
13. и установили пылающий светильник,
14. и низвели из облаков обильно льющуюся воду,
15. чтобы взрастить ею зерна и растения
16. и густые сады.
17. Воистину, День различения назначен на определенное время.
18. В тот день затрубят в Рог, и вы придете толпами,
19. и небо раскроется и станет вратами,
20. и горы придут в движение и станут маревом.
21. Воистину, Геенна является засадой
22. и местом возвращения для тех, кто преступает границы дозволенного.
23. Они пробудут там долгие годы,
24. не вкушая ни прохлады, ни питья,
25. а только кипяток и гной.
26. Это будет подобающим возмездием.
27. Воистину, они не надеялись на расчет
28. и полностью отрицали Наши знамения.
29. Мы же всякую вещь подсчитали и записали.
30. Вкушайте же! Мы не прибавим вам ничего, кроме мучений.
31. Воистину, богобоязненных ожидает место спасения,
32. Райские сады и виноградники,
33. и полногрудые сверстницы,
34. и полные чаши.
35. Они не услышат там ни пустословия, ни лжи.
36. Это будет воздаянием от твоего Господа и даром исчисленным (или щедрым, или достаточным),
37. Господа небес и земли и того, что между ними, Милостивого, с Которым они не посмеют даже заговорить.
38. В тот день, когда Дух (Джибрил) и ангелы станут рядами, не будет говорить никто, кроме тех, кому позволит Милостивый, и говорить они будут правду.
39. Это будет истинный день, и всякий, кто пожелает, найдет способ вернуться к своему Господу.
40. Мы предостерегли вас от наказания близкого. В тот день человек увидит, что уготовили его руки, а неверующий скажет: «Эх, если бы я был прахом!».

14. And they sent down abundantly water from the clouds,

17. Verily, the Day of Distinction is appointed for a certain time.
18. In that day they will sound the horn into the Horn, and you will come in crowds,
19. And the heaven shall be opened and become the gate,
20. And the mountains will move and become a mirage.
21. Verily, Gehenna is an ambush
22. and the place of return for those who transgress the limits of what is permitted.
23. They will stay there for many years,
24. not eating neither cold nor drink,
25. but only boiling water and pus.
26. This will be a fitting retribution.
27. Truly, they did not hope to calculate
28. And they completely denied Our Signs.
29. We have calculated and recorded everything.
30. Taste the same! We will not add anything to you, except torment.
31. Indeed, the place of salvation awaits the God-fearing,
32. Paradise gardens and vineyards,
33. and full-breasted contemporaries,
34. And full cups.
35. They will not hear there empty talk or lies.
36. This will be a reward from your Lord and a gift calculated (or generous, or sufficient),
37. The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Gracious, with whom they dare not even speak.
38. On that day when the Spirit (the Jibril) and the angels will become ranks, no one will speak except those to whom the Gracious will allow, and they will speak the truth.
39. This will be a true day, and anyone who wishes will find a way to return to his Lord.
40. We warned you against the punishment of a loved one. On that day, a person will see that his hands have been prepared, and the unbeliever will say: "Oh, if I were dust!".
