Андрей Платонович Платонов (настоящая фамилия Климентов; 1899–1951) — выдающийся русский советский писатель: прозаик и публицист, драматург и поэт. В годы Великой Отечественной войны в звании капитана служил военкором газеты "Красная звезда". Был непосредственным свидетелем многих событий из числа тех, что нашли отражение в его военных рассказах. Сборник составили пять таких произведений: "Броня", "Офицер и солдат", "Иван Великий", "Челюсть дракона", "Штурм лабиринта". Их действие относится к разным периодам войны, но эти истории объединяет общий сквозной мотив: мужество, стойкость и сила духа защитников нашего Отечества противопоставляются бездушию и машинной жестокости армад нацистской Германии. И русский солдат побеждает человекообразного монстра — нередко ценою собственной жизни…
Andrey Platonovich Platonov (real surname of Klimentov; 1899-1951) - an outstanding Russian Soviet writer: prose writer and publicist, playwright and poet. During the Great Patriotic War, he served as a captain of the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda in the rank of captain. He was a direct witness of many events from among those that were reflected in his military stories. The collection consisted of five such works: "Armor", "Officer and Soldier", "Ivan the Great", "Dragon's Jaw", "Storm of the Labyrinth". Their action refers to different periods of war, but these stories are united by a common cross-cutting motive: the courage, resilience and strength of the spirit of the defenders of our Fatherland are opposed to heartlessness and the machine cruelty of armadas of Nazi Germany. And the Russian soldier defeats the humanoid monster - often at the cost of his own life ...
