В те дни, когда собралось весьма много народа и нечего было им есть, Иисус, призвав учеников Своих, сказал им:
жаль Мне народа, что уже три дня находятся при Мне, и нечего им есть.
Если неевшими отпущу их в домы их, ослабеют в дороге, ибо некоторые из них пришли издалека.
Ученики Его отвечали Ему: откуда мог бы кто взять здесь в пустыне хлебов, чтобы накормить их?
И спросил их: сколько у вас хлебов? Они сказали: семь.
Тогда велел народу возлечь на землю; и, взяв семь хлебов и воздав благодарение, преломил и дал ученикам Своим, чтобы они раздали; и они раздали народу.
Было у них и немного рыбок: благословив, Он велел раздать и их.
И ели, и насытились; и набрали оставшихся кусков семь корзин.
Евших же было около четырех тысяч. И отпустил их.
И тотчас войдя в лодку с учениками Своими, прибыл в пределы Далмануфские.
Вышли фарисеи, начали с Ним спорить и требовали от Него знамения с неба, искушая Его.
И Он, глубоко вздохнув, сказал: для чего род сей требует знамения? Истинно говорю вам, не дастся роду сему знамение.
И, оставив их, опять вошел в лодку и отправился на ту сторону.
При сем ученики Его забыли взять хлебов и кроме одного хлеба не имели с собою в лодке.
А Он заповедал им, говоря: смотрите, берегитесь закваски фарисейской и закваски Иродовой.
И, рассуждая между собою, говорили: это значит, что хлебов нет у нас.
Иисус, уразумев, говорит им: что рассуждаете о том, что нет у вас хлебов? Еще ли не понимаете и не разумеете? Еще ли окаменено у вас сердце?
Имея очи, не видите? имея уши, не слышите? и не помните?
Когда Я пять хлебов преломил для пяти тысяч человек, сколько полных коробов набрали вы кусков? Говорят Ему: двенадцать.
А когда семь для четырех тысяч, сколько корзин набрали вы оставшихся кусков. Сказали: семь.
И сказал им: как же не разумеете?
Приходит в Вифсаиду; и приводят к Нему слепого и просят, чтобы прикоснулся к нему.
Он, взяв слепого за руку, вывел его вон из селения и, плюнув ему на глаза, возложил на него руки и спросил его: видит ли что?
Он, взглянув, сказал: вижу проходящих людей, как деревья.
Потом опять возложил руки на глаза ему и велел ему взглянуть. И он исцелел и стал видеть все ясно.
И послал его домой, сказав: не заходи в селение и не рассказывай никому в селении.
И пошел Иисус с учениками Своими в селения Кесарии Филипповой. Дорогою Он спрашивал учеников Своих: за кого почитают Меня люди?
Они отвечали: за Иоанна Крестителя; другие же за Илию; а иные за одного из пророков.
Он говорит им: а вы за кого почитаете Меня? Петр сказал Ему в ответ: Ты Христос.
И запретил им, чтобы никому не говорили о Нем.
И начал учить их, что Сыну Человеческому много должно пострадать, быть отвержену старейшинами, первосвященниками и книжниками, и быть убиту, и в третий день воскреснуть.
И говорил о сем открыто. Но Петр, отозвав Его, начал прекословить Ему.
Он же, обратившись и взглянув на учеников Своих, воспретил Петру, сказав: отойди от Меня, сатана, потому что ты думаешь не о том, что Божие, но что человеческое.
И, подозвав народ с учениками Своими, сказал им: кто хочет идти за Мною, отвергнись себя, и возьми крест свой, и следуй за Мною.
Ибо кто хочет душу свою сберечь, тот потеряет ее, а кто потеряет душу свою ради Меня и Евангелия, тот сбережет ее.
Ибо какая польза человеку, если он приобретет весь мир, а душе своей повредит?
Или какой выкуп даст человек за душу свою?
Ибо кто постыдится Меня и Моих слов в роде сем прелюбодейном и грешном, того постыдится и Сын Человеческий, когда приидет в славе Отца Своего со святыми Ангелами.

In those days when a lot of people had gathered and there was nothing for them to eat, Jesus called his disciples and said to them:
I am sorry for the people that they have already been with Me for three days, and they have nothing to eat.
If those who have not drilled let them go to their houses, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come from afar.
And his disciples answered him: From where could anyone take loaves here in the wilderness to feed them?
And he asked them: How many loaves have you? They said seven.
Then he commanded the people to lie down on the ground; And taking the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he broke it, and gave it to his disciples, that they should give out; and they distributed to the people.
They also had some small fish: blessing, he ordered them to be distributed.
And they ate and were filled; and scored the remaining pieces of seven baskets.
And they that had eaten were about four thousand. And let them go.
And immediately entering into the boat with his disciples, he arrived in the borders of Dalmanuf.
The Pharisees came out, began to argue with him, and demanded of him signs from heaven, tempting him.
And he took a deep breath, and said: Why does this generation require a sign? Verily I say unto you, a sign will not be given to this generation.
And leaving them, again entered the boat and went to the other side.
At this, His disciples forgot to take bread, and except for one bread they did not have with them in the boat.
And he commanded them, saying: Look, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod's.
And arguing among themselves, they said: This means that we have no bread.
When she realized, Jesus said to them: that you reason that you have no bread? Do you not yet understand and understand? Is your heart still hardened?
Having eyes, can't you see? having ears don't you hear? and do not remember?
When I broke the five loaves for five thousand people, how many full baskets did you put in pieces? They say to him: twelve.
And when there are seven for four thousand, how many baskets have you collected the remaining pieces. Said: seven.
And he said to them: Why do you not understand?
Comes to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man to him and ask him to touch him.
He took the blind man by the hand, led him out of the village and, spitting on his eyes, laid his hands on him and asked him: does he see anything?
He looked, said: I see people passing like trees.
Then again he laid his hands on his eyes and told him to look. And he healed and began to see everything clearly.
And he sent him home, saying: Do not enter the village and do not tell anyone in the village.
So Jesus and his disciples went to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way, He asked His disciples: for whom do people worship Me?
They answered: for John the Baptist; others for Eli; and others for one of the prophets.
He says to them: But who do you say that I am? Peter answered him, You are the Christ.
And he forbade them to tell anyone about him.
And he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, be rejected by the elders, high priests and scribes, and be killed, and rise on the third day.
And he spoke of this openly. But Peter, having recalled Him, began to rebuke Him.
But turning back and gazing at his disciples, he forbade Peter, saying: Depart from me, Satan, because you think not about what is God, but what is human.
And when he had called the people with his disciples, he said to them: Whoever wants to follow me, deny yourself, and take up your cross, and follow me.
For whoever wants to save his soul will lose it, and whoever loses his soul for the sake of Me and the Gospel will save it.
For what is the use of a man if he gains the whole world and damages his soul?
Or what ransom will a man give for his soul?
For whoever is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
