Самый светлый, самый необычный день в жизни - это, конечно, день рождения...
Рано утром, еще не открыв глаза, уже чувствуешь по тишине, которая стоит в комнате, что сегодня должно произойти что-то особенное, необычайно-радостное.
- А вдруг все забыли про день рождения? - мелькает тревожная мысль.
Но нет... Вот на столе появляется праздничный пирог, часы бьют назначенный час, и тут же на лестнице раздаются шаги гостей.
Не удивительно, что и маленький Слоненок, у которого сегодня день рождения, так взволнован. Да и как ему не волноваться, если с минуты на минуту к нему должна придти в гости целая компания друзей: Волчонок, Поросенок, Верблюжонок и маленький Утенок - его самый лучший друг.
- А вдруг их что-нибудь задержало? - тревожится Слоненок... Но вот за дверью раздались знакомые шаги, и в комнату первым вошел старый и умный Сурок, "знаменитый педагог". Этот Сурок, действительно, очень умный, и если бы не он, то, кто знает, может быть, день рождения у Слоненка и не окончился бы благополучно...
Дело в том, что мама Слониха испекла к празднику пирог, большой и красивый, с румяной хрустящей корочкой. Ах, какая вкусная начинка была у этого пирога! Но, к сожалению, никто так и не узнал, какая начинка была у пирога, потому что никто не попробовал даже кусочка... В то время, пока наивный Волчонок развлекал друзей веселой песенкой, Утенок пытался рассказать сказку про "крякрясную" Шапочку, а Верблюжонок читал свое стихотворение про елочку, которая оказалась такой вкусной, хитрый Кот (незваный гость на этом торжестве) съел весь пирог... И если бы не мудрый Сурок, то все зверята подумали бы, что это сделал Волчонок.

While the naive Wolfe entertained friends with a cheerful song, Duckling tried to tell a tale about "kryakryasnuyu" A cap, and Camelback read his poem about the Christmas tree, which turned out to be so delicious, the cunning Cat (an uninvited guest at this celebration) ate the whole pie ...
