Как рассказала научный сотрудник «Южархеологии» Вера Ларенок, отыскивать остатки городища сейчас сложно, но надежда на находки всё же остаётся.

Это не первый случай, когда Кобякова городище пострадало от хозяйственной деятельности человека. Год назад через один из трёх холмов проложили ветку железной дороги. Часть исторических артефактов были разрушены и утеряны.
Кобяково городище – памятник археологии федерального значения. Стоит на трёх холмах – западном, центральном и восточном. Западный (с некрополем) исследовали перед строительством на нем мегамолла «Метро-кэш-энд-керри». А вот восточному холму повезло меньше. В ходе планового объезда в апреле прошлого года археологи обнаружили, что часть ландшафта срезали бульдозером. Там проложили железную дорогу, которая ведет к частным складам. Вместе с грунтом и мусором строители вывезли большое количество древних артефактов. Областной Минкульт обратился в суд: иск удовлетворили – собственника оштрафовали на 15 тысяч рублей.
Есть риск, что незаконная стройка на Кобяковом городище может продолжиться. У этой территории пять владельцев. Как рассказала нам археолог Вера Ларенок, один из собственников - компания «Дорстрой» - собирается построить на территории полуразрушенного восточного холма склад.

Kobyakovo settlement is an archeological monument of federal significance. It stands on three hills - western, central and eastern. The western one (with the necropolis) was explored before the construction of the Metro-Cash-and-Carry megamall on it. But the eastern hill was less fortunate. During a planned detour in April last year, archaeologists discovered that part of the landscape had been bulldozed. A railway was built there, which leads to private warehouses. Together with soil and debris, the builders removed a large number of ancient artifacts. The regional Ministry of Culture went to court: the claim was satisfied - the owner was fined 15 thousand rubles.
There is a risk that illegal construction at the Kobyakov settlement may continue. This territory has five owners. As archaeologist Vera Larenok told us, one of the owners, the Dorstroy company, is going to build a warehouse on the territory of the dilapidated eastern hill.
