Navang Khchen was born in Tibet in the family of shepherd-nomads. As a child, he learned the game on Bamboo Flute - an ancient instrument, popular in Tibetan villages. After the occupation of Tibet, his family moved to India, where he studied Buddhist philosophy and meditation for 12 years, lived four years in a cave as a monk-hermit. The album "Quiet Mind" (1991) is the Tibetan bamboo and silver flute, as well as Indian Pan Fleet.
