Прелестный нежный цветок с сильными и глубокими корнями. Так или примерно так можно вкратце охарактеризовать новое творение культовой группы Alkonost. Те долгие двадцать лет, что существует эта выдающаяся формация, ведомая Андреем Лосевым, нашли правдивое и достойное отражение в виде седьмого полноформатного альбома "Песни Белой Лилии".
Без всякого преувеличения данную пластинку можно назвать самой лиричной и хитовой из всей дискографии челнинцев. Все девять композиций исполнены в едином, свойственном Alkonost ключе, и в то же время имеют отчетливо выраженный "характер". Структура песен искусно балансирует на стыке плотных металлических риффов, фольклорных мотивов и завораживающего вокала Ксении Побужанской, которая удачно воплотила в своем новом сценической образе сущность самой Белой Лилии. И, стоит подчеркнуть, грань эта иной раз становится настолько прозрачной и неуловимой, что можно только лишний раз поражаться мастерству музыкантов, чьи струны плетут дивный и незамысловатый узор.
Всеобщая мелодичность стала доминирующей для нового альбома. Практически полное отсутствие экстрим-вокала, эпизодические "народные" хоры и цикличная обрядовая составляющая придают композициям поразительно невесомые и вместе с тем пленительно-сладкие мотивы, наслаждаться которыми хочется вновь и вновь. Словно прозрачные воды увлекают тебя за собой, одурманивают ароматом речных растений, нашептывая сокровенные тайны древности, лаская едва ощутимыми прикосновениями светлых русалочьих локонов.
Помимо всего необходимо выделить изысканную и чувственную лирику, посвященную вполне насущной и актуальной проблеме взаимоотношений человека и окружающего мира, носящих облик извечной борьбы. Однако, если исходить из общей концепции альбома, исход ее заранее предрешен. Ибо нет законов выше, чем священные законы Природы.
Являются ли "Песни Белой Лилии" блестящим завершением или же, напротив, началом очередной главы в славной истории Alkonost, нам пока неизвестно. Очевидно другое: мы имеем зрелую и профессиональную работу, ничуть не уступающую изделиям европейской фолк-метал-сцены и в то же время до последней ноты сохранившую собственный неповторимый почерк. Нужны ли какие-либо еще доказательства уникальности этой команды?

And, it is worth emphasizing, this line sometimes becomes so transparent and elusive that you can only once again be amazed at the skill of musicians, whose strings weave a marvelous and uncomplicated pattern.

The almost complete absence of extreme vocals, the episodic “folk” choirs and a cyclic ritual component give the compositions amazingly weightless and at the same time captivating-sweet motifs, which you want to enjoy again and again. As if transparent waters captivate you behind them, stupefy with the aroma of river plants, whispering the secret secrets of antiquity, caressing the barely tangible touches of light mermaid curls.
In addition to everything, it is necessary to distinguish exquisite and sensual lyrics devoted to a completely pressing and urgent problem of relations between a person and the surrounding world, which are the appearance of an eternal struggle. However, if we proceed from the general concept of the album, its outcome is predetermined in advance. For there are no laws higher than the sacred laws of nature.
