Концерт для альта Сесиля Форсайта с давних пор исполняется всеми альтистами мира. Музыка произведения легкая, но в то же время в ней непрерывно ощущается тот неповторимый дух старой Англии, присущий всем без исключениям композиторам туманного альбиона. Надо сказать, что первая премьера для широкой публики этого альтового концерта прошла в 1903 году, и сочинение имеет успех до сих пор.
