«Слабое сердце» Федора Михайловича Достоевского написано в типичной для автора манере. В нем выражена вся безграничность страдания человеческого сердца, боль за эти страдания, жестокость эксплуататорского общества, невозможность личного счастья и невозможность его принятия. Тем не менее, в небольшой повести даже нет попыток поиска реального пути борьбы за освобождение от страдания, унижения и несправедливости.
