Уходя по белоснежью
Тихо, без возврата,
Вспоминать я буду нежно
Тех, с кем был когда-то.
С кем, делясь вином и хлебом,
Неслучайно близок,
Я взмывал порою в небо,
Позабыв про визы.
Как тогда Весна смеялась
Яблоневым цветом;
Только память затерялась
За метелью где-то…
Всё, что сон однажды выткал,
Повторится снова,
Даже если гулко скрипнут
Прочные засовы.
Что за ними – кто нам скажет?
Кто там был и не был?..
Жизнь идёт, как карта ляжет,
Жаль - рубашкой в небо.
Наяву ль всё это было?
Или сон был в руку,
Там, где голубь сизокрылый
Предвещал разлуку.
Не спешите, ради Бога!
Только след мой тает;
Потихоньку, понемногу
В Вечность прорастая.
Всё позёмкой заметает…
Вдаль, по белоснежью,
Мы уходим, оставляя
Память в сердце нежном.

Quiet, no return
I will remember gently
Those with whom I was once.

Sometimes I soared into the sky
Forgetting about visas.

Apple blossom;
Only memory is lost
Behind a blizzard somewhere ...

Sorry - a shirt to the sky.
Was it all for real?
Or the dream was in the hand

Sprouting into Eternity.
