Русский перевод Псалтири, несомненно, должен облегчить понимание библейских текстов и сделать доступнее эту духовную сокровищницу. В предлагаемом вниманию читателя издании представлена церковнославянская Псалтирь в переводе на русский язык. Перевод осуществлен Е. Н. Бируковой и ее братом, И. Н. Бируковым в 1975-1985 гг. Переводчики стремились не только помочь нашим современникам проникнуть в дух и смысл Псалтири, но и создать перевод, максимально близкий к ритму и интонациям славянского текста, его образам и эпитетам. Текст Псалтири прочитан заслуженным артистом России Львом Георгиевичем Прыгуновым в память своего деда - протоиерея отца Николая Ржевского, ставшего трагической жертвою красного террора в 1919 году. In the present edition, the Church Slavonic Psalter is translated into Russian. The translation was made by E. N. Birukova and her brother, I. N. Birukov in 1975-1985. The translators sought not only to help our contemporaries to penetrate the spirit and meaning of the Psalter, but also to create a translation as close as possible to the rhythm and intonations of the Slavic text, its images and epithets. The text of the Psalter was read by Honored Artist of Russia Lev Georgievich Prygunov in memory of his grandfather, Archpriest Nikolai Rzhevsky, who was the tragic victim of the Red Terror in 1919. & quot; Personally, I think: more monstrous than what happened in our country, there was not and is not in any state.
