Камни живут дольше, чем люди. Но именно люди, только люди дают бессмертие всему, чего коснется их подвиг. Подвиг героев сделал бессмертными камни Мамаева кургана. Пройдут годы и десятилетия. Нас сменят новые поколения людей. Но сюда, к подножию величественного монумента Победы, будут приходить внуки и правнуки героев. Сюда будут приносить цветы и приводить детей. Здесь, думая о прошлом и мечтая о будущем, люди будут вспоминать тех, кто погиб, защищая вечный огонь жизни. Вечная слава героям Сталинградской битвы, живым и павшим, всем, кто сражался за нашу Советскую Родину!

It will take years and decades. We will be replaced by new generations of people. But here, to the foot of the majestic Victory Monument, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the heroes will come. They will bring flowers and bring children here. Here, thinking of the past and dreaming of the future, people will remember those who died defending the eternal fire of life. Eternal glory to the heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad, alive and fallen, to all who fought for our Soviet homeland!
