Танец дервишей – одно из самых завораживающих зрелищ в Турции. Мужчины, или дервиши, на которых надеты белые юбки и красные колпаки, кружатся вокруг своей оси и постоянно ускоряют темп. Как только музыка замолкает, дервиши падают на колени. Остается только удивляться, как у них не кружится голова! Каждый предмет одежды дервишей имеет свое значение: шапка символизирует надгробную плиту, накидка – гроб, юбка – саван. Главный танцор – это солнце, а остальные вращаются вокруг него.
