Танцы типа вервери очень распространены во всех районах Армении. В основе танца схема «два вперед, один назад». «ВЕР» на армянском языке означает «верх, выше», что в данном случае символически означает, что танцующие в своих движениях стараются тянуться вверх, к Всевышнему. Исполняется в среднем и быстром темпе. Танец вервери танцевали и танцуют почти на всех весёлых мероприятиях - на свадьбах, на праздниках, в том числе и церковных. В некоторых видах этого танца танцоры держат друг друга за плечи, в других - руки находятся в позиции «барев» (здравствуй). Танец веселый и исполняется оживленно и радостно.
