Tryambakam относится к трем глазам Господа Шивы. Трийа значит три, Амбакам значит глаза. Translation of the mantra:
Tryambakam refers to the three eyes of Lord Shiva. Triya means three, Ambakam means eyes. These are the three eyes or sources of enlightenment — the Trimurti or the three primary deities, namely Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, and three AMBA (also meaning Mother or Shakti), Saraswati, Lakshmi and Gouri. Thus by this word we refer to God as Omniscient (Brahma), Omnipresent (Vishnu) and Almighty (Shiva). This is the wisdom of Brhaspati and the indication of Sri Dattatreya, who has three heads, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
Yajamahe means “We praise Thee.”
Sugandhim refers to His scent (knowledge, presence, and strength, ie, three aspects) as the best and always spreading around. Aroma refers to the enjoyment that we receive from the knowledge, vision, or feeling of His virtuous deeds.
