На заре своего творчества группа играла мелодичный рок, повлиявший на становление глэм-рока и глэм-метала», но позже в своем творчестве коллектив сумел соединить такие жанры музыки, как прогрессивный рок, R&B и поп-музыка[3], что незамедлительно сказалось на популярности команды. The most famous songs of the band are Cold as Ice, Feels Like the First Time, Waiting for a Girl Like You, Urgent, I Do not Want to Live Without You "and" Until the End of Time ". At the dawn of his work, the band played melodic rock that influenced the formation of glam rock and glam metal, but later the band managed to combine such genres of music as progressive rock, R & B and pop music [3], which immediately affected the popularity of the team. Since the album Agent Provocateur, the powerful guitar riffs that prevailed in the band's musical style gave way to keyboards and synthesizers in melodies, but despite this the band continued to play their favorite hard rock.
Most of the compositions Foreigner created in co-authorship with Mick Jones and Lou Graham, and their authorship deserved great respect and success, but in the late 1980s the band began to be purely commercial, the songs became less expressive and more gloomy.
The group continues to exist to this day, but from the original composition in it there was only Jones. Foreigner are considered the founders of hard-n-heavy and soft metal.
