Дозор наткнулся на дозор,
Какой тут, к черту, разговор?
Слова не впрок, чей выстрел первый, вот дела,
Огонь десант открыл первей,
Всего лишь четверо парней,
Успела рота - круговую заняла.
И вот он бой, внезапный бой,
А так хотелося домой,
По вспышкам ясно - духов много, словно грязи.
В штаб сообщили: "Бой ведем", -
Чтоб поддержали артогнем,
"Держись десант, подмога будет, и - до связи".
Один боец, один сержант,
Он лейтенанту был, как брат,
С тяжелой раною тащил его в укрытье,
-"Остаться надо нам в живых,
Остаться б только на своих,
Давай вперед, а я огнем создам прикрытье".
Он вспомнил мать, он вспомнил двор,
С отцом последний разговор,
Нехорошо они расстались, помириться б,
Рожок последний, дерг затвор,
Приклад в плечо, и бил в упор,
Прицельно бил, не забывая материться.
Стрелял, позиции менял,
Он, как учили, воевал,
Сам промедол себе вколол, плечо прошило,
Огнем летеху прикрывал,
Тут командир приказ отдал,
Мол, уходи, расскажешь нашим, все как было.
Как поступить, ответ найти б,
Остаться легче, чем уйти,
Пусть ненадолго, зато вместе и - навечно,
Хоть, правда, хочется пожить,
Но враг не хочет отступить,
И не отступим мы, пока живем, конечно.
Не обсуждается приказ,
И командир, в который раз,
Из под своих усов опять прикрикнул матом,
И - перебежками солдат,
А с ним и двое салажат,
С тяжелым сердцем уходили ближе к скатам.
Они чуть только отошли,
Как комья грязные земли
Взметнулись в небо, под собою хороня
Остаток роты, что уже
С врагом сошелся на ноже,
То командир поддержку вызвал на себя.
