Веровать в Бога — значит иметь живую уверенность в Его бытии, свойствах и действиях и всем сердцем принимать откровенное слово Его о спасении рода человеческого. Христом, то есть Помазанником, назвали Его пророки — так издавна называли царей, первосвященников и пророков. Иисус, Сын Божий, назван так потому, что Его человечеству безмерно сообщены все дары Духа Святого и, таким образом, Ему в высочайшей степени принадлежат ведение пророка, святость первосвященника и могущество царя. Believing in God means having a living confidence in His being, properties and actions, and accepting His frank word about the salvation of the human race with all our hearts. God is one in essence, but threefold in Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Trinity is consubstantial and indivisible. In the Creed, God is called the Almighty, because He contains all that neither is in His strength and His will. The words of the Creator to heaven and earth, visible to all and invisible, mean that everything is created by God and nothing can be without God. The word invisible indicates that God created the invisible, or spiritual, world to which the angels belong.
The Son of God is the second Person of the Holy Trinity in His Divinity. He is called the Lord, because He is the true God, for the name of the Lord is one of the names of God. The Son of God is called Jesus, that is, the Savior, this name is called Archangel Gabriel himself. Christ, that is, the Anointed One, was called His prophets - this is how kings, high priests and prophets have long been called.
